Held during our regular morning mediation at 9:30 a.m. on the 1st Sun. of each month .
Only takes a moment, hands are laid gently on the top of your head,
and the Intention is to Awaken our Divine Oneness.
Deeksha is an ancient word derived from the Sanskrit language that refers to a "benediction" or a "gift",
or having to do with the notion of "transfer" - in short, the receipt of the gift from the Divine, from God,
from the Higher Self, which fuels the awakening process.
Deeksha is a Blessing from the Divine that works to activate the kundalini,
balance the chakras, and serves to intelligently guide the recipient on an individual,
unique journey into higher states of consciousness, and ultimately into the state of Oneness itself.
The Oneness Blessing is transfered by placing of hands softly and gently
on the recipients head for about a minute.
Each person will have a unique, pleasant experience, and it is similar to blessings offered
by many of the world's great traditions. It focuses on the unity of humankind and is an interfaith gift,
not restricted to any particular religion. The Oneness Blessing is sourced
in compassion and the attitude of service, and is not associated with clairvoyance
or any type of psychic work. The Oneness Blessing phenomenon was started by Sri Amma Bhagavan,
who established the Oneness University in India. They state "We have only one goal,
and that is to help an individual discover the Oneness in everything, in all of life,
and to offer a pathway to a truly happy life.
For it is a fact that genuinely happy human beings will naturally create a joyful,
peace-filled planet for all.
